OK Go

OK Go's music videos are always creatively choreographed. From dancing on treadmills in "Here We Go Again" to a synchronized marching band in "This Too Shall Pass," OK Go reminds me of a nerdy boy band with a awesomely bad choreographer.

This time in OK Go's latest music video, "Needing/Getting," they use a car, a new Chevrolet to be exact, to create their music. Of course timing is a key element in the video, representing the signature style of OK Go.

The Bark Side

I love dogs and I love when their "barks" are composed to make a song or jingle. During Christmas, my Mom often imitates the dog barking Christmas song (we are a family that loves dogs).

So it is not surprising that I think Volkswagon's new commercial for the Super Bowl is awesome. Check out the teaser video below.

Stop Online Piracy Act

I am blacking out all of my websites tomorrow. If you have any type of website (Blogger, Tumblr, Wordpress or personal website) please redirect your pages to a stop SOPA website.

Black out your website for 12 hours with this page's HTML, or by putting this Javascript into your site's theme.

It is really simple and easy.

If you have a tumblr you just copy the html (right click the page and click view page source) and paste in your tumblr theme. Make sure you save your original tumblr html theme in a text edit file so you can re-paste it afterwards :)

Visit SopaStrike.com for more instructions if you have trouble.

If you do not know what SOPA is then please watch this video. Tomorrow will be the largest internet blackout in history with major websites such as Google, Wikipedia, Reddit and many more participating. This will effect YOU!

Hietsuki Bushi

"Omodaka is a Japanese collective that’s been celebrating the creative process of trial and error since 2001. The group melds Soichi Terada‘s 8-bit compositions with Kanazawa Akiko’s soft, screeching vocals, but they also showcase a variety of visual artists in their collaborative music video projects. Terada’s fusion of rampant electronic sounds and samples teleport you between random genres, while Akiko’s traditional Japanese folk vocals paired with offbeat motion graphics form imaginative musical montages."

My favorite video is below. "Hietsuki Bushi" by Omodaka with animation and direction of Ryo Hirano.

Diplo

Really interesting documentary on Diplo, music producer and dj. Diplo shares his thoughts on people, culture and traveling - as well as what he would do should he stop making music. It's interesting to see how the dj scene is growing and how involved you have to be, like Diplo said "It's not just about having a record out there. It's about having as many corners of media you can..."
