JR

Photographer JR does incredibly extensive and large wall works with his photography. Began his career doing street art, then his "illegal" art became official when Paris Hall wrapped one of its buildings with his photos. With themes such as Portrait of a Generation (portraits of suburban "thugs"), and Women (underlining the dignity of women), JR's work showcases everyday people on ordinary walls, roofs and entire buildings. Creating art in unexpected places opens up personal interpretation.
